A movie that tries so hard to be respectful to it's history that it's based on, but somehow comes off disrespectful to those people who fought for their own gay rights in The Stonewall Riots, just by removing them.

But instead we get are generic, bland, by the books white guy called "Danny", that was thrown in there so the audience can somehow relate to him. Danny is a fictional character and the movie focuses on him a lot.

The movie dose leave out a lot of important things that happened surrounding riots that this movie brushes a side.
