Review of Stone (1974) by Brad G — 26 Jan 2011
Ignore the goofy, melodramatic trailer and try to look past Ed Norton's cornrows, Stone is a surprisingly engaging drama of dread with Robert De Niro tackles one of his darkest characters (the film's opening immediately shocked me to the edge of my seat).
The film does drag a little bit, and I did find myself at the midway point wanting the plot to boil a little quicker. Still, if yer in the right mood, and you want to see four actors battle it out for who's the most depressing than you might enjoy Stone.
