Review of Splinterheads (2009) by Kyle S — 17 Feb 2010
Not bad at all. Wish more "teen" dramadies were along these lines. I think this is what Adventureland wanted to be and somewhat failed. Why is Rachael Taylor not in more things? Though her characters are always somewhat unbelieveable (hot girl analyst in Transformers & hot girl carny? I don't think so), she always makes me like her character.
I enjoyed the whole Geocaching. Brought out a part of her that would have been lacking otherwise. Thomas Middleditch is the Napoleon of the new century. Not over the top persay, but believable and up-to-date, with his quick remarks and talking to himself.
I enjoyed him immensely. Overall great film. The film is worth the chubby Asian lawn worker that plays the main characters friend (Wayne Chung) haha. Hilarious! Great to see Christopher McDonald & Lea Thompson again.
