Review of Splintered (2010) by Mike M — 02 Sep 2010
Bog-standard DVD fodder... The first UK feature to have been shot on the state-of-the-art RED digital camera, it looks sharper than post-pub fare involving a lot of barely motivated running about in the dark really needs to; a couple of suspense sequences even show the vaguest flickers of directorial promise.
Still, there's a lot that might encourage you to leave it on the racks, being murkily plotted and variously under- and over-acted by a no-name cast. As for the dialogue - oh, the dialogue. "At least I'm not a frigid little b***h.
" "No, just an egotistical t**t." Chapeau!
