Review of Spider Baby (1967) by Thérèse F — 26 May 2008
One of the most influential horror movies ever made, and yet it remains relatively obscure. SPIDER BABY is the ancestor of every family of crazies horror film, from THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE and THE HILLS HAVE EYES to HOUSE OF 1000 CORPSES and FRONTIER(S).
Excellent performances all around, esp. the always underrated Lon Chaney Jr., and a young Sid Haig.
