Review of Slither (1973) by Drew G — 27 Aug 2010
Slither is a delightful homage to gore-fest horror movies, but with tasteful humor and great casting. I am always very critical on horror movies, but this movie isn't a straight up 'horror' flick. It is definitely one of the cross-over horror films that have tasteful comedy. Nathan Fillion brings his swagger and charm to the movie.
I was grossed out at times from the gore, but it was used effectively and humorously (not unlike The Evil Dead) to add to the campy fun of the movie. The acting was consistent throughout the movie and I didn't see any huge plot holes.
Fun. Campy. Consistent. And well-acted. Mad props to Nathan Fillion.
