Surprisingly good but then again, Ulf Malmros usually knows what he's doing. This movie manages successfully to be several things at once: zany comedy, road movie, buddy movie and crime drama, all the while maintaining a strong undercurrent of tragedy spurred by the fear of getting stuck in a small town with no way out.
