Review of Slacker Uprising (2007) by Kirk Y — 08 Oct 2008
This is the perfect example of what Moore's movies are. Very adept at manipulating and playing on emotions, but so one-sided it inspires a dull ache in your heart. I won't go into his older shit, but with this one, I felt swells of pride and happiness and sadness and all such manner of wanting change and being proud of my generation, but when you look at the reality of what happened? We lost.
Yeah...so...this is another movie that is only good at preaching to the choir. Which is less satisfying and impressive than if he ever decided to make an objective film that appeals to the masses. I like you Michael Moore but you make me sad because you don't live up to your potential.
