Review of Shotgun Stories (2007) by Vanessa P — 18 Dec 2008
Michael Shannon leads a terrific unknown cast in a revenge story that doesn't necessarily have to end the way most other revenge tales end. The story is wonderfully subtle, and the acting is as real as acting gets.
The subtler than subtle moment that reveals the reason the movie is called "Shotgun Stories" is heartbreakingly tragic. A very well written script and terrific performances make this one of the year's best.
