Review of Shoah (1985) by Michael L — 03 Nov 2007
The definitive Holocaust documentary. Relies upon the words of perpetrators, survivors and bystanders to illustrate a series of events that exists now only as memory. The testimonies of the survivors brought me to tears; the testimony of the Nazi guards brought me to the brink of vomiting.
This film contains the very essence of humanity: indescribable evil and uncompromising good. Best if watched in installments. A full nine hours may scar you for life.
