Review of Shine a Light (2008) by Ramone J — 25 Apr 2008
Scorsese brings you front row and gives you the faces of the Rolling Stones, and captures the concert better than any previous concert performance of this time. After the novelty of the visual element wears off we get to Buddy Guy the 2nd guest performer, thats where the Stones kick open the door to true grass roots, and then the concert begins to pick up energy and my heart started racing.
look closely and you'll see glimpses of Hendrix and chuck berry from Keth Richards performance, I felt eras being brought full circle through him, and watts is hilarious. can't wait for the dvd, but see it on IMAX!!
