Review of Sherlock Holmes (2010) by David B — 14 Nov 2014
A steampunk Sherlock Holmes story set In 1940, Dr. Watson watches London burn for the second time (historically it would be the third time as there were German Zeppelin attacks in World War One) and feels he must tell the story of Sherlock Holmes' most painful case.
The plot involves mechanical monsters, a clockwork woman, and Sherlock's older Brother, Thomas, a police inspector who was invalided in the line of duty. Thomas, and a plot against the Queen. Asylum films are low budget and completely insane, but they are fun.
A staple on the Sci-Fi network, their films will never be mistaken for serious drama, but they adhere to the old Z grade horror movie style of fun.
