I took a bunch of of 7-9 year olds for my kid's birthday.They loved it!!
I enjoyed it as well but yes it's not a 'frozen' or 'LEGO movie'or other such blockbuster movie with mass appeal .
It is appealing to kids with a good message. Watch it!
