Review of Shaolin (2011) by Pui T — 03 Feb 2011
I couldn't have loved this movie more, it reduced me to tears 3 times throughout. Benny Chan does justice to the Shaolin genre and everyone is cast perfectly. Andy Lau is brilliant as always, Jackie Chan is wonderful, Nicholas Tse gives his greatest performance, Wu Jing and Xing Yu are true marvels and the supporting cast are simply perfect.
The martial arts is expertly choreographed and I garuantee the ending will stay with you long after the movie finishes. The best modern martial arts movie *****.
