Review of Shake Hands with the Devil: The Journey of Roméo Dallaire (2005) by Sarah B — 27 Jun 2007
Great film, great man. Shocking failure of the 'international community'. Anyone who has seen the fictional events/characters in other films about the Rwanadan genocide should watch this. Imagine the guilt you felt on the bus/tube/train home from the cinema and then imagine that it was you who was there in 1994 to protect the innocent and that you have to live with the consequences and memories of that failure every day.
I felt like punching the Belgian MP who criticized Dallaire.
