Review of S.F.W. (1995) by Travis L — 25 Dec 2009
A really hit-or-miss (mostly miss) film about the public's obsession with stardom. Stephen Dorff and Reese Witherspoon (and their friend Jack Noseworthy) are held hostage for over a month by terrorists in a convenience store, after which they become lionized by the public.
The film follows them as they attempt to escape the spotlight that they didn't ask for. Any satirical points the film makes are hard to justify 96 minutes of this dreck for, although Witherspoon is great, as usual.
