Review of Sex and Lucía (2001) by Alisa O — 15 Jul 2007
Nonlinear exploration of a writer and his relationships with the people in his life and his characters. As the author, Lorenzo, develops a relationship with a waitress, Lucia, reality becomes blurred with imagination.
I love the way Medem unfolds the relationship between Lorenzo and Lucia. It's visually stunning. To me, the film has no clear ending, which is perfect for the way the film confuses reality and imagination.
