Review of Senseless (2008) by Mykel N — 18 Apr 2010

This is not a bad horror movie like you would think it would be. You would think it would be because of the low budget recycled torture porn vibe coming from it, but in reality it's not that bad, and it wasn't all that low budget; they use a quaintly camera at any rate.

Senseless is about a young successful business executive who gets captured in a foreign country and placed in a white one bedroom apartment looking environment in which he can't escape. He soon realizes that he is being videotaped and every couple of days men in masks enter the space and torture him by hurting his five senses one by one.

If you can watch Saw you can watch this, but it's not for everybody and it is pretty hard to watch at times. The bad guys are doing it to make a political statement even though its not a very strong or sound statement.

I do like how you really are able to put yourself in this guys place and feel his fear, pain, and confusion.
