Review of Secret Superstar (2017) by Murali D — 21 Oct 2017
I can't think of another Indian movie where the lead actor was a 16 year old girl playing a 15 year old. Zaira Wasim knocked it out of the park, again (topping her debut performance in the hugely successful film, Dangal).
The story is pretty unique and it's beauty lies in the characters and the acting - the plot and genre are typical Bollywood but pretty entertaining and not over the top. Go prepared to get tears in your eyes.
