Review of Saving Face (2012) by Jerem M — 16 Mar 2013
An unbelievable documentary on the lives of women who have survived acid attacks in Pakistan. They are left disfigured and their lives ruined, and yet the culprits have gone largely unpunished. This details the process of surgery to restore one woman's face, and the prosecution of her attacker - her husband.
Sad, infuriating, and ultimately uplifting.
