Review of Sasha (2011) by Cylus O — 09 Sep 2011
"Sasha" is a German movie about Sasha, a tormented boy about his hidden sexuality, who will discover that his beloved (and gay) piano teacher will leave to Vienna. Because of that, Sasha will become upset and will need as an ally his "girlfriend" Jiao to help him into his torments with his teacher. Of course, Sasha is coming from an immigrant family (from East Europe) who are very religious and so he has to deal with it and hide its feelings from them...
The storyline is very simple and not very original as you may see from the summary of it. However, it is still kind of nice to have this immigrant family settings into the movie. I don't think this movie is bad but this is certainly not a masterpiece since it is SO simple-minded IMO.
