Makes my cry every single time. Great film and cast - one of the late River Phoenix's best. I love the birthday scene, which also made James Taylor's song "Fire and Rain" one of my faves! A beautiful film about family sticking together, beliefs and the pains of growing up and letting go.
Superb.
