Review of Ro.Go.Pa.G. (1963) by Generoso F — 29 Jun 2008
A collection of four films by Rossellini, Godard, Pasolini and Gregoretti that has only been released in the US on VHS. Pasolini's entry, "La Ricotta" is a brilliant examination on religion but due to an outdated law which was still on the books in Italy at the time of the film's creation he (Pasolini) was jailed for defying the church of the state.
A balanced collection of work from the other directors but this short is amongst the finest work of Pasolini's career.
