Review of Restrepo (2010) by Omar L — 09 Jan 2011
This is an excellent documentary that follows a heroic group of soldiers during a 16 month deployment in Afghanistan in one of the deadliest regions. It's an adrenaline rush watching this film and at times you'll laugh, tear up, and you'll get chills at the courage and valor of these men.
I had a thought running through my head throughout the movie... I kept thinking "Heroes, fu#@ing heroes". Warning, this is isn't for the faint of heart. I expect this to be nominated for best documentary at the Oscars.
10/10 from me.
