Just like Crouching Tiger before it, this isn't a straightly kungfu action movie - it is a movie with some kung fu actions. Although as some pointed out, the story treads on familiar grounds, the actors and story shows a level of depth that's often missing nowadays.
Please go on making more movies like this instead of more senseless VFX extravaganzas.
