This feature combines very good animation with a solidly done plot. It is a great venue to bring to life the premier book of the Redwall literary series. The plot is intriguing, entertaining, action filled, suspenseful, and yet still maintains a good balance of simplicity so that child and adult can understand and enjoy it. The animation is detailed and compliments, not only the good plot, but the voice work done by the actors. The soundtrack is effective, though nothing memorable after the viewing is done. Like most films inspired by high fantasy literature, this one was not as grand or detailed as the book itself, but it is indeed an honorable tribute to its source materiel..
