Review of Red to Kill (1994) by D M — 21 Oct 2018
A number of neighbourhood women fall victim to a particularly violent murder/rapist. The neighbours believe the attacker is one of the patients of a local asylum for the mentally retarded and protest the hospital's existence in their midst.
One evening a drunk sexually attacks a young teen and the patients come to her aid, restraining the pervert thereby winning the accolades of the local residents. Later, when the serial rapist strikes one of the patients she is not believed in court due to her low mental functioning.
The film then treads where "I Spit on Your Grave," "The Last House on the Left ," "Thriller - A Cruel Picture," etc have done a better job. Definitely not for the faint of heart, this definitely earned its Cat.
III rating.
