Review of [REC] (2007) by Brandon W — 06 Jan 2015

There are horror films I watch that I find really scary, but when I watch them again, they get less scary and I would know what's going to happen, but would still enjoy them. However with [REC], I still find it just as terrifying as ever when I first watched it, making it one of the scariest films I have ever seen.

I still remember the characters as they are memorable enough for me to root for them again. The scares, still shocked me every time even though I seen this film again. It gives off so many energy into it that just gets me very excited while watching it.

The effects are great, the found footage of it made it actually work and more scary. Even though I don't speak Spanish, the acting is great, especially from Manuela Velasco who is just fantastic and can act like she is really scared and doesn't overdo it.

It may be short, but it's very effective enough to get the job done of being terrifying.
