At its heart, it's more than just a prophetic inside look at the future of television; it's a running commentary on human conflict - the ways we deal with it, and the burning desire people have to initiate it - right down to the film's composition.

You might at first wonder why there is an Albert Brooks character named so blatantly, until you realize this semi-real manifestation of Hollywood is thematically the most important element of all. A brilliant comedy.
