Review of Ran (1985) by Aaron W — 19 Feb 2008
Kurosawa's stunning portrayal of Shakespeare's King Lear is one of the best shot films I have ever seen. From the reds and the yellows of the soldiers' armor to the mountains rising above the horizon.
Kurosawa is a true master of film and shows it again here in one of his last films.
