Review of Ragamuffin (2014) by Andy B — 13 Jul 2014
Ragamuffin is an inspiring movie without the usual Christian film cheesiness. The message is powerful, the acting is solid, and the cinematography is excellent for such a small budget film. This movie spoke to me deeply about my own struggles.
Struggles with family wounds, struggles about how I view myself, and the challenge of believing that God not only accepts me as I am, He's crazy about me... The film takes us through some of the moments in the life of Christian musician and songwriter Rich Mullins who died in a tragic accident in 1997.
Other people of note represented in the movie include late author and speaker Brennan Manning and singer Amy Grant, as well as appearances by singer Mitch McVicker and author and theologian James Bryan Smith.
I give this two thumbs way up!
