Review of Rabbits (2002) by James K — 24 Jun 2010
These short films by Lynch are nightmarish and leave me with questions that will never be answered. The Rabbits seem oddly transfixed when the door opens and when the phone rings - Who is at the door? Who is calling? We never find out and that's the point.
Lynch offers no sort of an explanation, and the 3 Rabbits are of no use to the audience because they only speak in non sequiturs. However, all of this put together creates an eerie, dream-like feeling that sticks with you after it's over.
