Review of Raazi (2018) by Yash B — 11 May 2018

"Raazi" isn't your typical Bollywood movie and I think it works stylistically for this story. I think the movie mostly works due to Alia Bhatt in the lead role. Her character is an easy one to root for and she does a good job in the role, proving again that she is one of the best young talents in India right now.

My only real complaint with the movie is that the pacing is very back and forth. There are segments in the movie that are exciting and tension-filled and others that seem to drag. For the most part, I did feel on the edge of my seat and enjoyed the premise.

Overall, it's a solid espionage thriller that is worth checking out due to a solid story and great lead performance.
