Review of Raaz (2002) by Private U — 26 Jan 2008
B-grade horror flick. Nice try! But the morality of the moral-of-the-story (and believe me, that one's fat in your face) is seriously biased, & irrationally skewed. The concept of the Fallen-woman-bound-to-and-unquestionably deserving-of-condemnation is self-righteous, parochial and passe.
And does not give an inch's worth of humility & compassion untoward the plight of the downtrodden on the other side of the coin. I am maddened, enraged, by this lack of consideration both within the film and without.
But that did serve to pick at a very personal scab with me. And though I know it's insane, I'll give it a 4(stars) for just that!
