Review of Punk's Not Dead (2007) by Dustin G — 18 May 2008
Enjoyable doc on the then & now punk scenes. The parts on the early life of punk rock are nothing new and have basically been seen in a handful of other punk doc's. It's nice to see the neo-punk scene taken a closer look at though. Lots of little interview snippits from lots of punk figures.
My biggest problem with this though, is that they totally ignored two of the biggest and most influential punk bands which had some of the biggest influences on neo-punk, the Descendents and the Misfits. Doesn't make sense. Other than that, good stuff.
