Review of Pray for Death (1985) by Corey N — 13 Feb 2010
Back in the 80's ninja movies were made in abundance. I was in to ninjas when I was a kid and enjoyed this movie back in the day. But now after seeing it again it does not hold that same appeal. The basic plot is a ex ninja from Japan who takes his family to America to live a peaceful life.
But some how he gets entangled with some mobsters and his family is in danger. As best as he tries to avoid any conflict the ninja in him must come out of retirement to exact revenge. The movie is full of action and death.
The ninja takes no prisoners. Many of the action scenes and acting in this is very cheesy. It does not hold up as a good film now. But I still have some nostalgia for this film. I think a remake is needed now for this movie.
Overall I would avoid this movie unless your big into ninja and martial art movies.
