Review of Potiche (1983) by Jules E — 20 Dec 2011
Deneuve revisits her seminal role with colourful umbrellas but this time as an elegant "vase" and very quickly, the very commandant. the cast plays their well-fleshed out roles to light-hearted perfection, and the banter is balanced by very real and pressing social issues.
the flashbacks are well-timed, and the 70's technicolor evokes much nostalgia. what a wonderful, colourful life :) kudos to deneuve, luchini and depardieu yet again.
