Review of Polisse (2011) by Ryan B — 22 May 2012
Thus far, this is the best film of the year. Completely engrossing, wholly original, this movie is not an exploitation film about child abuse but rather a respectful expose on the people who deal with pedophiles, rapists, and child abusers.
I was left tense and anxious for the whole runtime. An amazing cast with astute direction that is never sentimental, this is a seminal work for an emerging filmmaker.
