This is like the opposite of a standard crime picture, essentially taking out all the 'action' and suchlike that you normally see and we are left with lots of standing around, boredom, standing around, more standing around, talk, talk, standing, talk, eating, standing, talk, syntax.
It reminded me of The Wire, sort of. Kind of. In a way. Having a few drinks helps with the pacing.
