Review of Picnic (1955) by Robbie M — 04 Jul 2007
This is an undeniably imperfect film, but I love it in spite of--or maybe even because of--its shortcomings. Kim Novak is hilariously cast in a role half her age, but you don't really care after a while.
William Holden is hot and generously removes his shirt to prove it. It's all feverish and other-worldly colorful, and the play itself is meaty.
