An unusually quirky woman named Petulia (Julie Christie) chases after a disillusioned, soon-to-be divorced man (George C. Scott). Chaos ensues.

This is an excellent film. Roger Ebert said of it, "I am unable to find a single thing wrong with it." Richard Lester's direction is affecting and profound throughout. It's something of an organized mess.

The performances were top-notch. George C. Scott is an actor to be reckoned with-- you can constantly sense his desperation to *feel* something-- and I think that's always a great quest for a character. And Julie Christie could have easily played someone very unlikable, but her charm is rooted in her character and she is a joy to watch.

There's not much else to say, except that I am thoroughly impressed.

100%-- See it.
