Probably there's a little too much pathos to it. Probably it gives too many painfully straightforward explanations as if treating you as a dumb American teenager. Probably some scenes could have been brushed up a bit.
But this movie conveys one of life's most important messages perfectly: salvation lies within being able to laugh selflessly. I shed a tear, got my belly wobbling and my plexus shining, and that's more than fair with me.
