Review of Paris, Texas (1984) by Steve M — 25 Oct 2007
As soon as I saw Harry Dean Stanton walking through the desert I had to ask myself "What the hell happened to this man?" It took until the very end of the film to find out, and I wasn't disappointed in the ride or the results.
The final sequence, with Travis' story playing across the reactions of his wife Jane, is searing, heartbreaking, truly redemptive. I love this movie. Wim Winders is a genius!
