Review of Papanasam (2015) by Hari E — 06 Jul 2015
This certainly is an example of how a man's career as great as Kamal's will never come down. His acting is flawless, hell, who are we to comment on this man's acting! He lived the character of Suyambu Lingam and this is clear from the claps and whistles he receives after his performance.
Remade from the Malayam film, Drishyam, this film does not loose its essence owing to the direction by the same mastermind. Jeethu Joseph shows it is possible to make a classy as a family drama-thriller, a genre never explored much in Indian Cinema. This film is one to watch for its preserved story which didn't lose to the actor's calling repute. A gem that did justice to its star cast.
Notable appreciation goes to the film's supporting cast, from the innocent villagers in Delhi Ganesh and M.S.Bhaskar to the cunning an corrupt Kalabhavan Mani, who also returns after a long break.
