Review of Pandora's Box (2009) by Mark F — 25 Sep 2007
This is a sensational film - it's easy to see how this movie made Louise Brooks the image of a generation. Her acting is brilliant, and far ahead of her time. Pabst's direction is stunning, making every single emotion gleam with crystalline clarity.
This is not Wedekind's Pandora's Box, but even without his delicious dialogue, this movie burns off the screen. If you think silent films are boring, you need to watch this - you won't be able to look away.
