Review of Pandora's Box (2009) by Bart & — 28 Mar 2010
One of the finest silent films ever made launched actress Louise Brooks to superstardom and made her into one of the first major sex symbols. Brooks plays the part of Lulu a seductress that always gets what she wants by working her sexual appeal and there is enough to spare.
As Lulu continues on in her ways everyone who's path she crosses seems to get destroyed and even her own path is too. G.W. Pabst's greatest film is his way of reacting to the end of German Expressionalism and what a sad day that must have been.
