There's a lot of horror/monster movie cliches in here, and it is all a bit predictable, but the idea that a run down housing estate on the outskirts of Edinburgh is the sort of place where monsters and occultists could just blend into the background is played quite well.

Very well shot too (at least if you can overlook the scene on the Water of Leith where it appears to flit back and forth from night to daylight to night).
