Review of One Week (2008) by Wendy B — 08 Mar 2009
What would you do if you had one week to live? That's the question Ben, an English teacher and soon to be married man, poses when he finds out he has Stage 4 cancer. His answer is to buy a vintage Norton motorcycle and head west stopping at giant statues along the way and meeting an assortment of characters.
There's no question this is a Canadian film. If the scenery didn't give it away you would know from the Tim Horton's and Canadian Tire references. When his odyssey finally ends in Tofino at Long Beach Ben has the answer to some of life's big questions and we, the viewers, should be starting to work on ours.
