Review of Omertà (2012) by Hugo S — 21 Jul 2012
(4) Omertà - dir. Luc Dionne.
The French-Canadian cult TV series from the 90's gets its first big screen treatment. Few characters are back and new ones are on board. Luc Dionne every big name possible, including Celine Dion's manager/husband and Rachelle Lefevre from early Twilight fame. The result is an alright crime flick. It's not the saga the series were and it's pretty much actionless. Characters are underdevelopped and the while the plot is simple, the twists and turns that come near the end are a bit complicated to figure out with so many double-crossing. Not bad, not good. Just alright.
