Review of Old Fashioned (2014) by Brian H — 15 Feb 2015
Apparently Today's Movie Critics Are Idiots. Old Fashioned was one of the very few films we've seen in the last 10 years where the audience cheered/clapped at the end.
This was a real treat for my teenage daughters who need to learn that one night stands and cheap sex cause so much harm. Both character, Clay and Amber, are wounded from their past foray in today's "Friends With Benefits" culture.
The writing is a mix of soul searching and humor that understates "Christian Philosophy" and instead focuses on grace, redemption, and learning what love really is.
In an age when Hollywood has forgotten how to make a movie that couples can appreciate (hint: it has no guns, no sex, no profanity, no vulgarity, no BSDM) this film is a rare jewel.
